‘Eda,’ Cole Waterhouse and Taurus UK’s impressive build to rent development in Salford Quays, was crowned development of the year at the North West Business Insider Residential Awards. The scheme was developed with funding from Fortwell Capital.

Eda fought off stiff competition from six other impressive projects shortlisted for the award. Offering a blend of apartment sizes and tenures, the judges described Eda as “groundbreaking [BTR] in the North of England” and said it would be a catalyst for making BTR more accessible.

Designed by Chapman Taylor and constructed by Domis, the landmark 29-storey BTR building is the highest residential tower on the Salford Quays skyline offering 290-bedrooms, together with a gym and wellness Studio, two landscaped terrace gardens on the mezzanine and level 19, plus private terraces for each rooftop penthouse apartment.

The development offers a co-working space, lounges, cinema room, bookable private dining and entertaining facilities alongside a dedicated on-site concierge and management team.

Launched in August 2023, Eda received over 500 enquiries in the first four days, going on to receive an impressive HomeViews score of 5 out of 5.

Speaking about the award win, Simon Gallanders, Managing Director of Cole Waterhouse Residential, commented: “We are thrilled to have won his award; from the outset we put residents’ needs at the heart of Eda creating a healthy, dynamic community where people can thrive in the place that they choose to call home. We’re delighted that this approach and the results have been recognised by Insider as being the best in class BTR – simply a fantastic achievement for everyone involved.”

Nick Jacob Nick Jacobs, Managing Director, Taurus UK added: “We have great partners, therefore it is a great partnership.”
