A state-of-the-art residents’ wellness suite has launched at Eda, Erie Dock Apartments, the landmark 290-bedroom Build-to-Rent (BTR) scheme at Salford Quays.

Developed by Cole Waterhouse and Taurus UK (part of Taurus Investment Holdings LLC), the 29-storey BTR building is the highest residential tower on the Salford Quays skyline.

The fully equipped gym and wellness studio, named The Fitness Hub, offers residents a wealth of advanced fitness equipment on-site in an open-plan space for individual or group exercise. A range of high-tech functional training equipment is available, including Matrix spin bikes and virtual workouts as standard.

Eda residents also have access to a series of free gym classes and wellness events included within their rent.  The fitness programme is curated by Made For More, an Eccles-based start-up gym that is focussed on creating a welcoming fitness community. Residents will have the opportunity to work with Made For More to inform the Eda fitness programme, including using the on-site amenities for events, such as meal prep sessions in the private dining room or yoga and breathe-work classes.

Launched in August 2023, Eda received over 500 enquiries in the first four days. The development is now 44% let, following an integrated marketing push aimed at Manchester and Salford residents.

Interest in Eda is reflected by its current scores on HomeViews, the only verified resident review site and database in the UK. Eda scores 5 out of 5 overall, based on 40 resident reviews[1], with 5 for design and property management. Based on this resident feedback, Eda is the highest-rated BTR development on HomeViews in the UK at present.

Designed by Chapman Taylor architects, Eda is a 250,640 sq. ft., L-shaped residential building comprising 290 bedrooms in one, two and three-bedroom apartment configurations.

Celebrating the launch of the wellness suite, Simon Gallanders, Managing Director of Cole Waterhouse Residential, said: “From day one, we’ve put residents’ needs at the heart of Eda. The Fitness Hub at Eda is designed to rival well-known, commercial fitness providers in the local area, giving our residents the very best wellness facilities – all as a benefit of life at Eda.

“We wanted to create a healthy, dynamic community where people can thrive in the place that they choose to call home. By collaborating with Made For More, a local gym that is working hard to transform gym communities, we want The Fitness Hub to be somewhere our residents can make their own. The space wasn’t an afterthought; it’s designed to be used by all our residents, evolving as it goes.

“Our approach to fostering an unrivalled resident experience is testament to the exceptional interest in Eda to date, which is reflected by our impressive HomeViews scores. We’re thrilled to see the development already 44% let, with interest showing no signs of slowing down.”

Eda residents also benefit from access to biodiverse green spaces, including two landscaped terrace gardens on the mezzanine and level 19, plus private terraces for each rooftop penthouse apartment.

The development offers a co-working space; lounges; cinema room; bookable private dining and entertaining facilities alongside a dedicated on-site concierge and management team.

Eda is Cole Waterhouse and Taurus’ first joint BTR targeted development in the UK. The project was delivered on time and to budget by Domis Construction.
